Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has ordered the arrest of killer of innocent girl Taniya Khaskheli irrespective of any influence and pressure so that justice could be provided to the heirs of the deceased.
According to an official handout issued here on Friday, the Chief Minister accompanied by the Inspector General of Police Sindh A.D. Khawaja has passed such orders during condolence with the family members of slain girl Taniya Khaskheli at his native village Jhangara district Jamshoro.
The Chief Minister also directed the arrest of suspended Station House Officer Muhammad Ali Khaskheli and asked the IGP Sindh to provide all legal assistance to heirs of the girl with arrest of the killer without any delay.
The Chief Minister was informed that some influential persons of Syed family were supporting the killer Shabbir Nohani who also used their vehicle when he came to residence of deceased Taniya and shot her dead as she refused his proposal of marriage. The Chief Minister was further informed that the local Police was aware of the whereabouts of the murderer but avoided to arrest him as he was backing by some influential persons of the area that resulted in series of protests held in different parts of the province from civil society and non-governmental and social welfare organizations.
The Chief Minister maintained that the murderer of Taniya Khaskheli should be arrested at the earliest irrespective of any support of influential persons. He also assured the heirs of deceased girl that justice would be provided to them at any cost.
