Murad demands clean Karachi in next 10 days

karachi—Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah chaired a meeting to discuss cleanliness situation in Karachi on Monday, where he directed that the city be cleaned up in the next 8-10 days.
The chief minister once again gave an ultimatum to city authorities to completely clean up Karachi within the stipulated time period and said he will turn his attention to the rest of Sindh next.
He also said he wanted Sea View area in Karachi to be completely cleaned up as well.
CM Murad, who has vowed to make Karachi clean again ever since he assumed office, said he realized ridding Karachi of garbage dumps would take time and that he had issued new goals and instructions to relevant authorities to clean up the city in the next 10 days.
Talking to the media persons after the meeting, the Chief Minister also said that law and order situation in Karachi would further improve. He dismissed accounts of ‘child kidnappings’ in the city as mere rumours.
He further said that no criminals, regardless of their political affiliation, would be allowed to escape.
Murad Ali Shah said that he had witnessed Karachi’s Empress Market area being washed when he used to be a child. Murad vowed to make Karachi clean like the city used to be.
He claimed that after Karachi, work would also be done in the other cities of Sindh.
The chief minister said that the concerned departments had registered satisfactory performances. He said that it had been three weeks since he had assumed the office of the Chief Minister of Sindh and already he had given approval for seventeen projects.
Murad Ali Shah commented on former Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza and said that he had no clue what Mirza used to say. He refused to comment on Mirza’s statement, stating that he had become history now. Murad said that he would make trips all over Sindh.—INP
