MQM boycotts ceremony for cars distribution

MQM Pakistan, which had been asking for authority to run the city administration, boycotted a ceremony arranged by the Sindh government to distribute new cars among vice chairmen of union councils , saying that their demand was for vehicles to lift garbage and not for recreation. The ceremony however went on as as secretary, local government, Ramzan Awan distributed keys of 100 cars of 1000 cc among vice chairmen of union councils. MQM local government representatives, including vice chairman of district Central Shakir Ali, however protested over the attitude of the provincial government.
