More than 200 commandos deployed to ensure peace in city

Karachi—More than 200 commandos of Special Security Unit of Sindh Police (SSU) were deployed in sensitive areas of city, to ensure maintenance of law and order situation.
The commandos were deployed on the directives of AIGP-SSU, Maqsood Ahmed, said a press release issued here Friday.
The commandos will assist the local police in maintaining peace in different areas.
AIGP, Maqsood Ahmed said that the commandos equipped with modern weapons, communication system and other accessories are capable to challenge any emergency situation if created by anti-social elements.
Maqsood Ahmed further added that under the supervision of senior officers, the teams comprised of highly trained and well equipped commandos including lady commandos will be ready to foil any untoward incident.
Meanwhile, the SSU commandos of Special Security Unit of Sindh Police (SSU) conducted a flag march in the city to develop the confidence of citizens keeping in view the present situation.
According to a press release issued here Friday, the flag march was conducted on the directives of the Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal and AIGP-Security, Maqsood Ahmed. The commandos of SSU equipped with modern weapons led by senior officers patrolled in various areas of the metropolis.—APP
