Moot on ‘Impact of Nano-Science on Energy Technology’ starts

Exploration of alternative sources of energy has become the need of the hour. Punjab Government has contributed tremendous efforts to overcome the crises of energy power in the country and by the grace of God, we have achieved this uphill task through the relentless efforts of our Chief Minister and his team.
This was said by Chaudhary Sher Ali Khan, Provincial Minister for Mines and Mineral while presiding over the inaugural Technical session of 2nd three days international conference entitled “Impact of Nano-Science on Energy Technology” conducted by the Department of Physics, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, here today.
A number of local and foreign delegates attended the conference. The Dean of Science Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti in his welcome address highlighted the importance of the Nano-Science to overcome the energy needs in Pakistan.
He discussed the contribution of the faculty of science for the development of new materials and their application in the field of energy technology. Prof. Dr. Bin Zhu from Sweden delivered his key note address.
He spoke about the innovative energy devices for sustainable development. He demonstrated the novel device based on semiconductor ionic and fuel cell for development.
Chairman Department of Physics, Prof. Dr. Saleem F Shoukat appreciated the Physics faculty for organizing such mega event and the foreign research experts who travelled to Pakistan. Director Campus Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas also addressed the audience.
