Mohmand Jirga demolishes houses of militants

Mohmand Agency—The local administration along with Haleemzai tribal elders demolished over 12 houses of suspected militants during a search operation in Haleemzai tehsil of Mohmand tribal region on Wednesday.
Political Administration said that the local administration conducted the demolition operation in areas of MianGan, Shanikhel, Sami khel, Khwa-jawas and Durbakhel. They demolished houses of suspected militants with explosive materials.
Three days ago security forces warned local tribesmen in a Jirga to perform their role under col-lective responsibility act otherwise forces can con-duct operation Zarb_e_Azb 3 in the area.
The houses of wanted militantsAman, Aziz, Yasir, Ziarat Shah, AdilBacha, Adnan, Munsif, Yaseen, Ameen Taj and Pir Zada and MianShakir were demolished. It will be mentioned here that the local administration handed over wanted men list to the elders of Haleemzai tribal elders to demolish their houses.
The law and order situation is not satisfactory in Mohmand Agency and on daily bases security and peace networks members are targets of IEDs at-tacks. An official of the political administration said that they conducted the operation with the help of tribal elders of Haleemzai.
During the past months several IEDs (Impro-vised Explosives Devices) were targeted the Khas-sadrs, FC, peace volunteers and Levies forces in the area.
They also attacked on the Ghiaba Levy Check Post with heavy weapons in the result one levy per-sonal embraced Shahadat. Besides others militants came from across the border attacks on local population and extortion in the area.
After the successful military operation against militants in the area Haleemzai tribe will hold Jir-gas. Today in this connection Haleemzai Tribal jirga decided a starts a joint activities with local admini-stration and assured that they will fully support the security forces in the area. They also said that they would not allow any anti-state elements nor they will give shelter to them.
