Modi’s call for Imran Khan

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday telephoned Imran Khan and congratulated him on his party’s victory in the general election. We are ready to enter a new era of relations with Pakistan Modi said. According to a statement Modi said both the countries should adopt a joint strategy for progress in bilateral ties. Indian Prime Minister wholeheartedly congratulated Imran Khan for his emerging as the largest political party in the National Assembly of Pakistan in the recently conducted general election.
Modi expressed hope that democracy will take deeper roots in Pakistan. Imran Khan said the two governments should device a joint plan of action to free people of both countries from the cruel trap of poverty. Khan thanked Modi for his best wishes. As a Pakistani I hope the leadership of both countries will work upon great policies to counter the problems.
