“Mir was the first feudal of the sub-continent to have built the grand school in Tando Bago to educate kids of the poor and downtrodden people in 1920 in Tando Bago town on his own expenses. “ It was stated by PPP MNA Sardar Kamal Khan Chang on the occasion of 85th death anniversary of Mir Ghulam Mohammad Talpur in Badin.
PPP MNA Sardar Kamal Khan Chang said that “It was the great personality of this gentle soul who served the area people without any discrimination of caste, color or creed” adding he said that opening a grand school in a remote area in those days was nothing less than a herculean task.”
Mr. Chang also ensured the administration that he would take up the issues facing that institute with the concerned functionaries of Sindh for their immediate solution.
The known drama writer and columnist Mahmood Mughal while paying the rich tributes to late Mir observed that it was rightly being called father lower Sindh because he had done a lot for the area people than the real fathers dreamed of. He said that he was among few those in the sub-continent, who had opted to create awareness by spreading the light of education adding he said his role in creation of Pakistan was very significant.
