Minister inaugurates first Pet Care Hospital in Faisalabad

The first Pet Care Hospital has been set up at divisional level under the auspices of the Punjab Livestock Department where modern treatment will be provided to pets and animals.

Livestock Minister Sardar Hasnain Bahadur Dareshk, Director Livestock Dr Ashfaq Ahmed Anjum, Additional Director Dr. Haider Ali Khan, In-charge Hospital Deputy Director Rai Shafqat, Dr. Abdul Majeed, Focal Person Dr. Fareeha and other officers were also present at the inauguration.

Talking to media, the Livestock Minister said that Faisalabad is the second largest city in Punjab where the citizens were facing problems related to the treatment of birds and pets.

Pet care hospitals are functioning but the provision of facilities at the government level will improve the treatment process.

He asked the citizens through the media to visit the hospital for information and treatment regarding the health and diseases of their pets and animals. He said that Pet Care Hospital would provide new employment opportunities to the people.

According to the vision of the Prime Minister and Chief Minister, the focus is on improving the livestock sector. The program is successfully underway and is launching a genetic improvement program at a cost of Rs5 billion.

A copy of the program has been sent to the Punjab government. He said that the vaccination and meat program is being extended. He made emergency visits to the Civil Veterinary Hospitals of the state.
