Islamabad—World Scholar’s Cup WSC, Global Round was held at Bangkok. Pakistan was represented for the first time ever in this international educational competition.
Roots Millennium Schools presented its students with yet another international opportunity to explore and enter contest as Ambassadors of Pakistan. An initiative taken by Chief Executive Roots Millennium Schools’ Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq TI and carried out by the Director Schools and Outreach, Mrs. Sabina Zakir.
The Millennials outshined and returned successful. It is a matter of great pride for Pakistan that the Millennials were awarded number of medals and trophies. Overall 40 countries and 3500 students from around the globe participated in this mega event.
This was the 2nd stage of World Scholar’s Cup; the first was the regional round that was held at Lahore in February 2016, in which number of national school systems participated. Such trips also provide the young generation with rich cultural learning through immersion in the various diverse cultures around the globe.
According to the young Millennials the experience was enriching and fulfilling in terms of international exposure as well as education. Two junior teams and One senior team availed this golden opportunity.
The only Senior Team of Millennials from Pakistan is now going to represent the country once more in World Scholar’s Cup’s Final round Tournament of Champions which will take place in November at Yale. Out of 1100 teams from around the globe, Roots Millennium Schools’ team of seniors secured 9th position in the whole South Asia region.
