To pay tribute to the greatest benefactor of humanity, annual Mehfil-e-Milad was held at FG Postgraduate College, Kashmir Road here on Thursday.
The chief guest was Begum Asif Iqbal, Director FGEI (C/G) and a large number of former faculty member attended the event.
The Milad began with the recitation from the Holy Quran followed by Hamad-e-Baritallah and Na’at recited by a student with devotion.
The chief guest shed light on the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
She said that his life and teachings were a source of inspiration not only for the Muslim Ummah but for the entire humanity. She emphasized following the teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH) was the need of hour.
The Milad concluded with Dua, praying to Allah Almighty for peace, progress and prosperity not only of the country but for the entire Muslim Ummah. Begum Asif Iqbal distributed certificates among the participants.
