Medical investigation of food handlers


Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food authority first time in the province has started medical investigation of food handlers to identify communicable disease careers amongst them.
The spokesperson on Wednesday said that a two-day food safety level-1 training has been arranged for food handlers where different techniques for food preservation and precautionary measures for food safety been taught.
The training batch was consisted of employees of different hotels and restaurants who were running kitchens.At the concluding ceremony blood samples of all the participants have been taken for medical examination of communicable diseases.The spokesperson added that blood samples would be tested for all the communicable diseases including Tuberculosis and Hepatitis A and B—APP
