Mechanism in final stage to regularize FDE daily wage employees

Islamabad—Minister In-charge of the Capital Administration and Development Division Tariq Fazal Chaudhry Wednesday apprised the National Assembly that a committee had been constituted to regularize the services of daily wage staff of the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE).
He said a committee under the chairmanship of Hasseb Ather, an official of Federal Public Service Commission, had been constituted to conduct interviews of the daily wage employees on the directives of Islamabad High Court.
He said a summary had been forwarded to the Prime Minister’s Office through CA&D Division to delegate power to the Committee for Regularization (Haseeb Ather’s Committee) by amending its terms of reference (TORs) to consider regularization of FDE employees from BS-16 and BS-17.
He said the proposal was also forwarded that powers may be delegated to the committee under chairmanship of Joint Secretary (Education), CA&D Division to recommend cases for regularization of FDE employees from BS-01 to BS-15.
He said the ministry had received budget for the salaries of daily-wage employees of FDE till June 2017. He said testing mechanism for the regularization of daily-wage employees was in the final stage and assured that their regularization issue be resolved soon.—APP
