Measures being taken to prevent road accidents

Balochistan Secretary, Road and Transport Authority Noor Muhammad Mandokhail has said that measures were being taken to improve standard of passenger vehicles by the Balochistan government in view of China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC). He said that CPEC related projects would change destiny of the nation and added that poverty would be eliminated in the country after completion of the project. Talking to APP, here on Tuesday, he said that maximum efforts were being made to prevent road accidents on national highways in the province.
He said that speed monitoring system would be introduced to prevent accidents being caused by over speeding. The systems would be procured from tracker companies, he added. He said that the compensation to the families of deceased victims of accidents would be paid by the insurance companies while the companies will also bear treatment expenditure of injured passengers.—APP
