Mature people won’t allow anyone to ruin country: CM

Islamabad—Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Sunday called on Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore to discuss matters of mutual interest, overall situation in the country and other important issues.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the mature public has proved by its actions that they will not allow anyone to ruin Pakistan’s destiny.
He said that the negative politics of baseless allegations, disruption and lies have been defeated by the politics of transparency, honesty and public service.
The Chief Minister said that former rulers looted the country ruthlessly and filled their pockets instead of spending national resources on providing facilities to the people..
“PML-N government has promoted the trend of transparency and high standard in the projects and set a new example by saving national resources of billions of rupees, which is unprecedented in the history of the country, he added.
Those who neglected the people during their rule are now perturbed over the projects of public welfare, he added.
The Chief Minister said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor is a guarantee to progress and prosperity of the country and under this project, the destiny of the country will be changed with the completion of projects of billions of dollars throughout Pakistan. He said that under CPEC, investment of 36 billion dollars is being made only in energy projects and with the completion of energy projects, there will be light everywhere and darkness will be removed from the country.
He said that trade, economic and social activities will enhance with the execution of infrastructure projects under CPEC.
Speaker National Assembly speaking on the occasion said that the tremendous work of public service carried out by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif is unprecedented and the present government has promoted a new culture by saving national resources of billions of rupees in development projects transparently.
He said that international institutions are acknowledging improving situation of the country and Pakistan is moving towards the goal of development and prosperity.
The negative politics of chaos and anarchy is poisonous for development of the country and the nation in these circumstances, he added.
