Maryam rules out use of govt resources in NA-120 campaign

PML-N central leader Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday ruled out use of government resources by her party in its campaign for by-election in NA-120 constituency.
She was talking to the media after having a meeting with Jamiat Ulema Pakistan (JUP) President Pir Ejaz Hashmi here at his residence. During the meeting, the JUP leadership announced its unconditional support for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate in the upcoming by-poll of NA-120.
Maryam Nawaz said that NA-120 was not a new place for her as she had acquaintance with the people of this constituency since long. To a question, she ruled out use of government resources by the PML-N in NA-120 election campaign, and advised the opponents not to make lame excuses but face the most popular political party of the country in the election through public vote.
The PML-N’s lion would sway in the NA-120 by-polls on September 17, 2017, she added. The PML-N central leader thanked the JUP leadership for extending unconditional support to the Nawaz League’s candidate –
Begum Kalsoom Nawaz- in the NA-120 by-election. On this occasion, Pir Ejaz Hashmi said the JUP and Muslim League were united at the time of creation of Pakistan and today both were also on the same page to save the country.
He added that JUP would extend full support to the PML-N to stop the elements restoring to obstruct developmental process in Pakistan. He was of the view that September 17 by-polls’ result would be the result of general election 2018.
