MAJU launches social sciences education programme

President, Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Karachi Prof. Dr. Zubair Shaikh emphasized that in order to create awareness among young generation about thinking and works of Muslim Scholars and Philosophers like Allama Iqbal, Quaid-e- Azam, Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Allama Shibli and others seminars, discussion and lectures sessions be conducted regularly.
He said we can start series of lectures on IQBALIYAT and his thinking about KHOODI and Pakistan movement leaders struggle. He said that it is our duty to provide opportunities to our young generation to learn more about Islamic ideology in letter & sprit. This he stated while he was addressing to the faculty members of newly established Social Science Department.
Head of Social Sciences Department Dr. Aziz-ur- Rehman Saifee presided over the meeting. Those who attended the meeting were included Dr. Sadaf Fatima, Syed Aftab Hassan, Nadeem Ahmad, Mataher Ahmed Khan, Jehanaeb Khan, Saad Hamid Osmani, Ishtiaq Ahmad kolachi, Rehan Ahmed and Samia Aslam. Dr. Zubair Shaikh said that efforts are under way to convert MAJU into a general University so that we may make it one of the best universities of this reign.
He said that universities always lead the society towards transformation and history has proven that Arts & Culture help us to bring change in our life style and thinking style in a broad spec term.
He said that after starting education of Social Sciences subjects here, we will set up language lab here to start Chinese, German, French, Arabic and other languages courses.
