Major General Mohammad Saeed took the charge of Director General Rangers, Sindh here on Monday.
The outgoing Director General Lt General Bilal Akbar handed over the charge. General Bilal Akbar will take up his new responsibilities as Chief of General Staff at the GHQ.
Earlier outgoing Director General Rangers Sindh Lt. General Bilal Akbar called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in Karachi.
According to the spokesman of Chief Minister House newly appointed DG Rangers Sindh Major General Mohammad Saeed was also present in the meeting.
They discussed overall law and order situation in the province.
During the meeting which was held in a cordial atmosphere, the Chief Minister lauded the services of Lt General Bilal Akbar for restoring peace in Sindh in general and Karachi in particular.
He hoped that the new Director General would continue the good work done by his predecessor.
