LTC provides economical, comfortable transport

Urban transport facilities is the need of contemporary era that helps general public for reaching their destinations, by fulfilling this reality Lahore Transport Company (LTC) since its inception has laid the foundation of imparting economical, comfortable and safe transport facilities for common man in Lahore which needs to be replicated in other parts of province.
This was stated by LTC Chief Executive Officer Mr. Khawaja Haider Latif while briefing about company’s operations and transport projects to the Chinese delegation comprising Chairman and five members from Fulin Transport Co on their visit at LTC Headquarter, here today.
As regulatory body we are enforcing the existing public transport laws and executing the projects of public interest owing to rapid expansion of population in city which needs meticulous planning to meet the ends of desired urban transportation system in large cities.
The successful financial model ensuring transparency as introduced by LTC for plying buses has lucrative benefits for potential foreign investors, Latif said.
On this occasion Chairman Fulin Transport Company Mr. Chen Shuguang, Director Board of Investment Mr. Zulfiqar Ali, Chief Financial Officer Mariam Khawir, Chief Technical Officer Badi-ur-Rehman, Chief Operating Officer Zafar Qureshi, Deputy Head of Communication Nasir Hussain and other senior officials were also present in the meeting.
Mr. Chen Shuguang has stated that his company is keen to invest in Pakistan in transport sector particularly in intra city bus service, construction of terminals and cab service.
He further denoted that his organization is deemed in one of the leading highway transport passenger companies in China that is not only manufacturing the public transport units rather involves in operations of intra city bus service and city bus terminals.
He also praised the deep rooted ties of China Pakistan friendship and foreseeing new opportunities of investment and expansion in transport sector in context of China Pakistan Economic Corridor.
