Locals start building bridge at own

Chitral

The people of Immit and other villages of upper Chitral on the left bank of River Yarkhun and Laghalabad on the right bank have started constructing a bridge on the river to shorten their travel distances to educational institutions and basic health center located in Bang village.
The locals for long have been building the bridge in every autumn but it washed away in the spring when the water level in the river increases. Due to the absence of a bridge to facilitate the area people to commute between the villages on both sides of the river, travelers, especially students, have to take a log detour via the bridge in front of Patrangaz.
It may be noted that the Govt High School and a number of private schools including Quaid-e-Azam School and College and the Aga Khan Medical Centre are located in Bang on the right bank of the river.
