Literature festival for healthcare professionals at KU

Karachi—A two-day literature festival for healthcare professionals was inaugurated here Acting Vice-Chancellor of Karachi University Prof Dr Khalid Iraqi Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Iraqi urged the organizers to arrange such book fairs and festivals at different faculties of the varsity to facilitate both the students and the teachers.
He said the first ever literature festival arranged for doctors and their families at the university in Karachi was a pleasant thing. Such festivals should be held at every faculty of the university to facilitate students and the faculty members, he added.
Dr. Iraqi was speaking after inaugurating the literature festival, held at Pavilion End Club in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Karachi. Hundreds of doctors and their families as well as common people, especially children visited the two-day literature festival, organized by the Jahan-e-Maseeha Adbi Forum (JMAF) and purchased books worth thousands of rupees, which were being offered at discount ranging from 40 to 50 percent.—APP
