Cricket Australia (CA) will be persistent with its policy of allowing media persons to attend its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday (24th October). Not only that, the AGM will be streamed live also.
The policy is in sharp contrast with the other national boards and particularly the Asian countries, where transparency has always been criticised.
“Cricket Australia will hold its Annual General Meeting in Brisbane on Tuesday 24 October at 8:30am AEST”, the press release says.
“Media are welcome to attend the meeting”, the key note of the release adds.
Later, speaking exclusively to this Reporter, Tim Whittaker, the Senior External Communications Manager, said, “the meeting will be live streamed on the Cricket Australia facebook page. Media can attend the meeting (AGM)”.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) also invites media persons to attend its AGM.
“It is standard procedure to invite media to our AGM. This has been done for a number of years now”, Michael Owen-Smith, the CSA media executive, speaking exclusively, said from South Africa.
