Light rain, thunderstorm likely at some places

Light rain with thunderstorm is likely at few places in Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and its adjoinings hilly areas while dry weather will continue elsewhere in the country during the next 24 hours.
A shallow westerly wave is prevailing over Pakistan and likely to persist in upper parts of county till tonight, an official of met office Muhammad Ayaz told APP.
During the last 24 hours dust-thunderstorm/rain occurred at scattered places in federal capital, Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
Rainfall recorded during this time span was Punjab: Murree 37mm, Chakwal 20mm, Rawalpindi (Chaklala 21mm, Shamsabad 16mm), Islamabad (Zero Point, Bokra 17mm, Golra 16mm, Saidpur 12mm), Okara 11mm, Sahiwal 07mm, Sargodha (AP 11mm, City 06mm), Lahore 04mm, Sialkot, Jhang, Joharabad 01mm, Kashmir: Muzaffarabad 27mm, Garidupatta 22mm, Rawalakot 17mm, KP: Kakul 21mm, Balakot 17mm, Malamjabba 14mm, Kalam 10mm, Bannu 07mm, Dir 06mm.—APP
