Lahore—Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute and Lahore General Hospital Prof. Khalid Mahmood has said that doctors, nurses and other staff will reamain available on duty in order to facilitate and help patients during Eid holidays. Moreover, special meal has been arranged for the patients on the eve of Eid so that they could feel at home on this happy day.
While briefing about preparation about eid holidays, Prof. Khalid Mahmood said that patients can not be left alone during Eid holidays so hospital administration has not only ensured the presence of staff through their special duties on Eid days but also has managed a special food package for patients and their attendants with the cooperation of philanthropists.
He said that a control room has also been established for the Eid holidays where administrative doctors will be available for 24 hours in order to redress the complaints and problems of the patients immediately during Eid holidays.

Prof. Khalid Mahmood strictly directed the sanitary inspectors to maintain cleanliness during the holidays by ensuring the presence of the staff of all the three shifts.
He said that in case of negligence the responsible will have to face action. He said that cleanliness, hygenic conditions and precautionary measures reduce the problems of doctors and patients almost to the half so the concerned staff should be very careful in this regard.
Prof. Khalid Mahmood said that the campaign against dengue would also remain intact during these holidays and staff deputed for guiding the public about dengue will continue their work. He said that we can not afford any kind of lethargy or irresponsibility if want to get rid of this menace.
