Islamabad—Lawyers have been playing their active role in the society and their struggle and sacrifices for restoration of democracy in the country cannot be ignored. Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Sheikh Anser Aziz expressed these views in his address with the Islamabad Bar Association here at the Shuhada Hall in Markaz F-8. On this occasion, President of Islamabad Bar Association, Muhammad Tayyab and General Secretary, Zafar Khokhar, President, Islamabad High Court Bar Association, Tariq Mehmood Jehangiri, a large number of lawyers, Deputy Mayor Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), Chaudhry Riffat Javed, Chairman Union Council MCI, Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan, Naeem Gujjar, and other representatives of union councils were also present.
In his address to the Islamabad Bar Association, Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz said that all available resources would be utilized for provision and up-gradation of facilities to the District Courts and Islamabad Bar Association.
He said that sewerage system in the existing Judicial Complex in Markaz F-8 would be upgraded; adding that sanitation system in the complex would further be improved on regular basis till the completion of construction work on new Judicial Complex in the Federal Capital.
He said that new public toilets would be constructed to facilitate the visitors, while more sanitation staff would be deployed in the Judicial Complex to improve hygienic condition.
Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz further said that improvement of street light and provision of water supply would be ensured for facilitation of visitors, lawyers and judges in the Judicial Complex in Markaz F-8.
Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz assured the members of Islamabad Bar Association that new Judicial Complex would be equipped with all latest facilities including construction of chambers for lawyers, adding that he would personally request the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to ensure provision of all facilities for lawyers in the new Judicial Complex.
He further added that “we all will request the Prime Minister to pay visit”. Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz along with the office bearers of Islamabad Bar Association visited different areas of the existing Judicial Complex and inspected the available facilities including sewerage and water supply system.
He also reviewed the problems faced by the lawyers community in the complex. Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz issued orders to the concerned formations for addressing these problems with immediate effect.
Earlier, President of Islamabad Bar Association, Muhammad Tayyab Advocate and General Secretary, Zafar Khokhar Advocate welcoming the Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz and informed him about the problems faced by the lawyers community.
President, Islamabad High Court Bar Association Tariq Mehmood Jehangiri Advocate welcomed the visit of Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz to the bar and expressed his hope that their problems would be addressed in proper manner.
