Lawbreakers, kite sellers, gamblers netted

Police in their crackdown against anti-social elements have arrested 11 lawbreakers including three kite sellers and two gamblers besides recovering 40 liters liquor, two pistols 30 bore with 13 rounds, 657 kites, 24 kite flying string rolls, Rs 5450 cash stake money and other items from their possession.
According to a police spokesman, Naseerabad police held Khasta Khan for having 10 liters liquor. Morgah police also recovered 10 liters liquor from the possession of Haris. Taxila police netted Sami Ullah for carrying 20 liters liquor.
Waris Khan police rounded up Adil and recovered a 30 bore pistol with 10 rounds. New Town police arrested Lal Wali with a 30 bore pistol and three rounds. Westridge police nabbed Saif Ullah a kite seller and recovered 130 kites and six kite flying string rolls while Saddar Wah police apprehended Numan and Qaiser, two kite sellers and seized 527 kites and 18 string rolls.
Westridge police raided at an illegal LPG agency near Katcha Stop and arrested Anwar. Meanwhile, Rattamral police acting on a tip-off conducted a raid in Waheed Colony and rounded up Asad and Munir who were allegedly involved in betting while playing cards.—APP
