Latest collection of Irfan Siddiqui’s columns hits stalls

Islamabad —A fresh collection of columns written by Mr. Irfan Siddiqui, Adviser to the Prime Minister and renowned columnist, titled ‘Column Kahani’ has hit the stalls.
The book contains 100 columns of Mr. Siddiqui published between October 2011 and December 2013 and written under the title of ‘Naqsh-e-Khayal’ with reference to the 2013 general election. The columns featuring unique style of Mr. Siddiqi cover election campaigns of different political parties, political and social drivers and activities influencing elections, different electoral analyses, commentaries and probabilities.
In his comment printed on the flap of the book, renowned journalist and intellectual Mr. Mujibur Rehman Shami says: “The way Mr. Irfan Siddiqui examined different political parties before 2013 election by dissecting their strengths and weaknesses and analyzing their claims and promises became a proof of his vision. One gets astonished by reading his writings even today. Although he is not a soothsayer or a palmist, his columns of the past are not only fresh and lively even today rather give him prominence among the visionaries. I hope the fresh collection of his columns will attract special attention of the students of Pakistani politics and history.”
The 400-page book, published by the Jahangir Books Lahore, has been priced at Rs1,000.
