Lakki blast leaves five dead, many injured

Peshawar—A deadly car bomb explosion in Lakki Marwat district on Thursday left five people dead and several others seriously injured. Some reports say the people on board the targeted car were the Internally Displaced Persons.
A car, on its way to Lakki Marwat from FR Bannu, when reached Kashmir Kot area in the jurisdiction of Tajori Police station it was blown up with the help of remote controlled device. While some reports say the explosive device was planted inside the car, the Police insist it was a suicide explosion.
Initial reports said five people succumbed to their injuries while others sustained serious wounds. The dead bodies and the injured were shifted to hospital where the medics have described the condition of a victim as precarious.
“The car with people on board when reached Sardar bridge in Kashmir Kot, exploded with big bang leaving some people dead and injured,” eye witness said. The vehicle was completely damaged in the blast.
