Performance report of districts in the first six months on the development funds of Punjab prepared as Lahore ranked last and Narowal remained first in funds utilization rate.
Out of the funds allocated in the current financial year, only 16 per cent of the funds have been utilized for Lahore in current financial year.
According to the report, the Narowal district ranks first in the use of funds in the first half of the financial year with a rate of 52 per cent. Rahim Yar Khan District of Punjab is at the second position with 45 per cent.
In the district of Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Hashim Jawan Bakht, 25 per cent of the funds were utilized during the first half of the financial year. According to the report, the Sargodha district ranked third with a 44 per cent fund utilization rate.
The performance of Kasur district was 43 per cent, while that of Vehari and Chakwal remained 42 per cent in the first six months. In Rawalpindi 24 per cent, Attock 29 per cent and Jhelum during the first six months the utilization rate was 39 per cent.
According to the report, 29 per cent of funds were used in Khushab 29, Mianwali 28, Bhakkar 32, Faisalabad 20 and Jhang 40 per cent. In Toba Tek Singh, the utilization rate was 39 per cent. While in Hafizabad and Gujrat 32 per cent of funds were utilized.
In Gujranwala, 24 per cent of the funds were used. While the funds’ utilization rate in Mandi Bahauddin remained 32 per cent. In Sialkot 37 per cent of funds were utilized.
The funds’ utilization rate in Sheikhupura remained 29 per cent, while in Nankana Sahib 37 per cent of the funds were spent for developmental reasons.
The utilization rate of the funds was remained 38 per cent in Okara, while in Sahiwal 25 per cent, Pakpattan 34 per cent, Multan 34 per cent and Lodhran 27 per cent funds were spent, respectively.
In Khanewal 40 per cent, DG Khan 32 per cent, Rajanpur 30 per cent and Muzaffargarh 32 per cent of funds were spent, respectively.
