Lahore Police organizes walk against drugs

City District Police Lahore organized walk against Drugs in collaboration with Drug Advisory Training Hub(DATH) and National College of Arts (NCA) Lahore from NCA to Anrakali corner The Mall Lahore.
SP Civil Line Muhammad Afzal, Principal NCA Murtaza Jafri, Consultant, Anti Drugs/Narcotics Campaign Syed Zulfiqar Hussian, DSP Anrkali Syed Zafar Abbas Naqvi, registrar NCA, member of DATH & YOCFAN and students of NCA participated in the walk.
SP Civil Line Muhammad Afzal said that Lahore Police has committed to fight against drugs peddlers who destroyed our youth future through drugs. Our department should more work and establish new working relation with different institutions, private sectors and NGOs who are already and providing service in the field of drug demand reduction.
Consultant Anti Drugs/Narcotics Campaign has said that drugs addiction is harmful not only for the addicted but also has negative impact on the fabric of the society. Innocents’ common people become its victims just to taste or to get rid of curiosity, the effects of such an addiction can cause dangerous changes in the mind, body and spirit of the drug addict. The most disturbing aspect of drug addiction is that it is reaching epidemic proportions in Pakistan nowadays.
Mr. Hussain further said that Lahore most of the parts‘re hub of hard and soft Drug Addiction. 27 different areas. He said that addiction is a chronic, relapsing brain disease characterized by compulsive drug seeking and use, despite harmful consequences; also known as psychological dependence.
Mr. Murtaza Jafri Principal said that youth can play vital role to curb the menace of drug addiction in the society, the problems of drug addiction increasing day by day in our youth.
