KW&SB finalizes arrangements for Ashura-e-Muharram


Karachi—The Karachi Water Sewerage Board (KW&SB), staff and officers will work at 32 spots in the city too clear sewerage lines near and adjoining areas of majalis and central processions and during 8th and 10th Muharram and lines will be cleared gradually to facilitate mourners.
The KWSB staff will work round the clock, said a statement on Monday.
The machinery will be deputed 24 hours on the directives of Sindh Chief Minister and Sindh minister for Local Government.
Managing Director KWSB Misbah Farid said water tankers supply will continue where ever it was found water shortage in areas majhalis and processions were held.
The Water Board will ensure that there was no water shortage.
The KWSB staff will remain in touch with the organizers of majalis, azadars and processions.
The areas where KWSB staff will be deployed are Ancholi, Khradar, Mithadar, Saddar Empress market, Old Numaish and MA Jinnah road.—APP
