KPITB, Education Department sign MoU

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government took the lead to launch the first ever project of the country to educate school children in computer programming.
The Project ‘Early Age Programing & IT Essentials for the Children of Government Schools’ is a joint venture of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) and Department of Elementary & Secondary Education to impart international standard training to the children of Public Sector Schools in Computer Programming.
Initially the one-year project will be launched on pilot basis in 60 Public Sector Schools in fourteen selected districts of the province, which will be extended to the entire province in next phase.
Launching ceremony of the project was held on Monday which was attended by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for Information Technology Shahram Tarakai, Provincial Minister for Elementary & Secondary Education, Muhammad Atif Khan, high ups of KPITB and Education Department, teachers and media persons in large number. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between KPITB and Education Department to give the project a practical shape and make it a real success.
