KP win 29th National Full Body Contact Karate trophy

Peshawar—Khyber Pakhtunkhwa clinched the overall trophy of the 29th National Full Body Contact Karate Tournament which concluded here at Lala Rafique Sports Arena on Tuesday.
Director General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rashida Ghaznavi, Nazim Town-1 Zahid Nadeem, Representative of the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Muhammad Aamir, Chief Paksitan Shiyan Muhammad Arshad Jan, Organizing Secretaries Inayat Ullah Khan, Shahidzada Hadi, judges, were also present and witnessed the thrilling events in five different weight classes.
More than 150 players from Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, AJK, Gilgit-Baltistan, FATA, Islamabad, a team of Afghanistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa vie for the top honor.
In the Super Weight category Khan Ullah of KP got gold medal, followed by Kifayat Ullah, in the Heavy Weight Saif Ullah of KP won gold medal, followed by Muhammad Saleem of Punjab, in the Middle weight group Arshad won gold medal, followed by Ahmad Javed of Balochistan, in the light weight category Abdur Rehman of KP won gold medal, followed by Hamid Ullah of Balochistan, in the feather weight catgegory Umar Farooq of Punjab got first, followed by Muhammad Zubair of KP.
KP secured overall 84 points, followed by Balochistan and Punjab. There were some fights of the players from Afghanistan as well which were largely enjoyed by locally based Afghan spectators.
At the end, Director General Sports Rashida Ghaznavi, Director Sports Operation Tariq Mehmood, Nazim Town-1 Zahid Nadeem, Chairman Sports and Culture Town No. 1 Haji Hidayat Ur Rehman, representative of the local govt Usman Khan, Youth Nazim Fahad Shafi, Director Sports PSB Coaching Center Mumtaz Ahmad Nadeem, ANF representative Muhammad Aamir, representative from Afghanistan Olympic Assocaition Hamayun Alizai, President KP Sports Writers Association Jehanzeb Saddique gave away trophies, medals, certificates and cash prizes to the position holders.—APP
