KP tourism policy a landmark step: STFP

The first-ever tourism policy by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a landmark step, which could promote tourism in the province. President Sustainable Tourism Foundation Pakistan (STFP) Aftab Rana Thursday said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the first province to introduce its tourism policy after devolution of powers under the 18th Amendment.
He said that KP Tourism Policy encourages public-private partnership and commercialization of government-run tourist facilities like rest-houses, promotion of tourist resorts and exploring new tourist destinations across the province. ‘Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) had achieved target of ‘generating Rs50 billion’ revenue in tourism sector,’ said an official of TCKP.—APP
