KP PPP leaders call on Bilawal

Islamabad—The Coordination Committee of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Thursday called on PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to discuss reorganization of the party in the province from provincial level to district level. Members of the committee included former provincial president Rhimdad Khan, Senator Rubina Khalid, ex MNA Noor Alam Afridi, ex-provincial minister Humayun Khan and Shazi Khan.
PPP’s Political Secretary Jameel Soomro, Fouzia Habib and Spokesperson Senator Farhatullah Babar were also present in the meeting, said a press release. Bilawal Bhutto asked the committee finalize its recommendations regarding party’s organization within three months. He advised that the members should select anyone among themselves as coordinator so as to thread the beads together.
The Chairman advised the committee to visit all the districts of the province and meet the workers and take their views into account while making recommendations for any party office. He directed that the co-ordination committee should prepare a schedule and work plan on how to go about their task and inform his secretariat about the same.
The Chairman advised the committee to take into consideration all relevant factors including standing in the party, reputation for integrity, acceptability among workers while making nominations. It was also decided that the committee will propose at least three names for each party office out of which the party leadership will finalize one name to each party office.—APP
