Peshawar—The passage of the most awaited the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ehtesab Commission (Amendment) Bill, 2016 was again delayed after the amended draft of the legislation was referred to the Select Committee of House for further deliberations. The House resumed proceedings with Deputy Speaker, Dr. Meher Taj Roghani in the chair on Friday.
The passage of the KP Ehtesab Commission (Amendment) Bill was on the agenda of the proceeding of the House. However, the Provincial Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Imtiaz Shahid Qureshi after moving the bill for consideration on behalf of the Chief Minister told the House that the purpose of introducing amend-ments in certain laws was aimed at bringing improvement in them.
He requested the Deputy Speaker that holding consultations with all parliamentary leaders of the House, the bill should be referred to the Select Committee of the House to bring further improvements in the proposed amendments in the law. The Deputy Speaker announced the referring of the bill to the Select Committee of the House .
Similarly, on behalf of the Senior Minister for Social, Welfare, Special Education and Women Empowerment, the Provincial Minister for Mineral Development, Anisa Zeb Tahirkheli presented the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Child Protection and Welfare (Amendment) Ordinance, 2016 in the House while House approved Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa report regarding audit for the financial year 2011-12.
The Provincial Minister for Mineral Development, Anisa Zeb while representing the Senior Minister Sikandar Hayat Sherpao told the House that the cabinet inquiry committee has prepared its report. The report of the committee constituted through an executive order was presented in provincial cabinet.
