KP LHWs decide to go on strike

Lady Health Workers (LHWs) of Khyber Phaktunkhwa on Sunday has decided to go on strike if their demands were not accepted. This was stated by the president Lady Health Workers Programme association KP Shah Rukh while addressing a press conference here at Press club Abbottabad.
While presenting the charter of demand, Shah Ruhk said that KP government should immediately announce the service structure of the LHWs and also count the previous service of the workers. She said that government should pay arrears of LHWs from 2012 to June 2016 and also ensure for the provision of petrol, maintenance of the vehicles and travelling allowance of last one and a half year.
Replying to a question President LHWs said the KPK government approved pay scale for health department should also implemented for the Lady Health Workers programme and their workers.—APP
