KP govt officials trained in int’l procurement


The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Department of Health and Population Welfare Department (PWD) have trained 15 staff members in international procurement through the technical assistance of USAID funded by Global Health Supply Chain-Procurement and Supply Management programme (GHSCPSM) in a local hostel in Islamabad.
The government officials of the foregoing departments were given a two days’ intensive training on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Procurement Rules, the challenges encountered in international procurement, steps involved in preparation of standard bidding documents, evaluation of bids, award of contract and contract management.
More specifically, special emphasis was laid on the international payments by the provincial departments and the processes involved therein.—APP
