KP govt introduces true democratic standered

Peshawar—Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak Thursday said that his government introduced a true democratic model with full transparency in governance and merit based system in the province. He said all decisions were being taken on merit and justice.
He was talking to the British Ambassador and his team at Pakhtunkhwa House Islamabad, says an official statement here. The Chief Minister said that his government had set true democratic standards in the province adding “We pushed the goal post to its original place to convert a legitimate goal. These standards took the critics and so called political leaders aback.”
He reminded that when he took over, there was total chaos in the province as there was no rule of law and people had lost hope due to law and order situation and public institutions were in total disarray. Pervez Khattak said the education system used to be an incubator increasing the gap between rich and poor.
His government started narrowing down the gap by raising the standard of education in the public sector institutions. “This is a foundation to ensure level playing field both to rich and poor”, he said.
He said the shortage of teachers and missing facilities were provided to schools and a new set of reforms were introduced in education sector and the missing facilities and additional rooms and boundary walls in all schools from top to bottom would be ensured towards the end of this year.
“This is what my government and the people around think is the real revolution providing a level playing field for vertical mobility to poor and rich alike in all spheres of life.”—APP
