KP computerizes prisoners’ record: IGP

The PTI Government has computerized record of prisoners in 14 jails of the province aimed at to provide speedy information and avoids unnecessary delay in legal matters involving prisoners.
‘We have computerized prisoners’ record in 14 KP’s jails under Prisoners Management Information System (PMIS) for assistance of Jails administration, prisoners and their relatives, friends comes for meeting,’ Inspector General Prisons (IGP) KP, Shahidullah Khan told APP.
PMIS provides a modern solution by which jail authorities, public safety departments, and the government can safely and securely manage prisoners’ identities and ensure swift compliance of the courts’ orders.—APP
