KP abolishes political interference from govt departments: Khattak

Nowshera—Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak said that his government will ensure the rights of the province, and hoped the federal government will honor its commitments, about the western corridor of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Talking to media, the CM declared that we will ensure the interest of province and added that we believe in uniform development of all the provinces. He said that the poor people of the country were always exploited and politics was done in the name of teachers, police and patwaris during the previous regimes which we have undone.
He claimed that his government abolished political interference from the government departments and made them subservient to the masses in true sense. The Chief Minister said that his government from day one started work on one point agenda that is elimination of corruption and commission, supremacy of merit and justice, abolition of politicking from the state organizations and making civil bureaucracy as true servant of the people.
“I don’t claim hundred percent successes in what I stated, however the things have been corrected to a great extent” he added. The destiny of the country could be changed if its political leadership and people become honest and sincere to their cause.
He asked the youth and elected representative to play their role in addressing basic problems of the people and elimination of corruption at the gross root level. We have started English medium education in government schools in order to provide quality education to kin of poor people so that they could also become competent enough to compete with the children of the rich people in the field of education. The KP government has taken various steps for ensuring presence of staff members in the health facilities and schools. He asked the people to monitor the construction of development works in their areas and point out the use of substandard materials to the government authorities so that such people could be taken to task.
Earlier, the CM laid the foundation stone of old Nowshera boat bridge casting Rs 350 million. He also announced Rs 50 million for drainage projects in Nowshera Kalan.—APP
