Kohat hospital’s reconstruction approved

Peshawar—The provincial government has accorded formal approval to master plan for the reconstruction of Liaquat Memorial Women and Children (LMWCH) Hospital Kohat and the concerned authorities have been directed for starting work on the project as soon as possible.
The master plan for the reconstruction of the hospital was given in a meeting held with Commissioner, Kohat Division, Musarrat Hussain in the chair. During the meeting it was clarified that no more delay will be tolerated in the project. The estimated cost of the construction of the new proposed building is Rs.500 million out of which Rs.17 million will be provided by Refugees Affected and Housing Areas (RAHA).
Besides, MNA Sheheryar Afridi, chairman KP Assembly Standing Committee on Information and Public Relations, Ziaullah Bagash MPA, Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kohat, Zahir Shah, heads of building departments and elected representatives of the local government departments also attended.
The meeting was told that after the approval of master plan the PC-I of the project will be completed within a period of one month and practical work on it will be started after formal approval from concerned forum. The meeting was assured that the mega project will be completed within the specified period.—APP
