I am a great fan of Tennis Star Maria Sharapova. The drug-related controversy surrounding her is unfortunate [right now her doping ban has been reduced] and in my opinion could have been avoided. I first started watching news about her Tennis matches when I had been working in Hyderabad in India [especially in the years like 2009 and 2010].
I in general encourage game activities and I do have the personal [professional] experience of encouraging/asking my students in Tuticorin, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu in India to take part in the games like football and cricket – sports are the cornerstones of the physical power and mental strength.
As a voracious fan of almost all the English newspapers in the world [at this age of 37], I am thinking that the media people have the responsibility towards handling news of the Maria Sharapova case in a fair manner so that nothing will go wrong in the process. And this is my humble request/suggestion to the media people who are always the pillars of strength.
