KMU to hold centralized admission from current session

Peshawar

Khyber Medical University (KMU) clarified that advertisement published in the section of the press about the admission into public and private sector medical and dental colleges of KP by the Joint Admission Committee (JAC) on Friday has been issued erroneously and emphatically declared that admission would be held by KMU through centralized admission procedure from the current academic session.
In a statement here the KMU spokesman said that advertisement into medical and dental colleges by the Joint Admission Committee was issued in the national press inadvertently on Friday (Sept. 28) and therefore the parents and the students are directed to ignore the said ad.
The VC KMU Professor Dr. Arshad Javed has said that centralized admission into medical and dental colleges would be announced next week adding that the new process would not only remove the bottlenecks into the admission process into the medical and dental colleges but would also ensure transparency.
The admission into public and private sector medical and dental colleges would be held through a centralized procedure in the province in the wake of decision of the Supreme Court dated September 17 this year, he reiterated.—APP
