Kitab Mela on Feb 24-25

Islamabad—The National Book Foundation (NBF) will organize a two-day ‘Kitab Mela’ on occasion of Social Sciences Expo 2016 on February 24-25 at Pak China Friendship Center Islamabad. More than 25 publishers, book sellers and printers would set up book stalls in two-day book event for promote book reading culture among different segments of society. Special discount would also be offered on books. Moreover, lucky book draw and book launching ceremonies will also be part of kitab mela.
Advisor to Prime Minister on National History and Literacy Heritage, Mr. Irfan Siddiqui would inaugurate the ceremony as chief guest. Managing Director (MD) NBF Prof. Dr Inam ul Haq Javeid , Chairman Inter University Consortium Vice Chancellor Haripur University, Dr Nasser Ali Khan, Vice Chancellor Abdul Wali Khan University Dr Ihsan Ali, National Coordinator Inter University Consortium Muhammad Murtaza Noor and writers will attend the programme.
Renowned columnist, writer and Chairman Pakistan Television Ata ul Haq Qasmi’s book ‘Safar Namay’ would also be launched on the occasion.—INP
