‘Killing of elderly man blot on so-called Indian democracy’

Srinagar—Hurriyet leaders, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Farooq Ahmad Tauheedi and Shakeel Ahmad Butt have expressed grief and sorrow over the death of an elderly man from Elahi Bagh area of Srinagar, Ghulam Muhammad Khan, due to pellet injuries and said that killing of the old man is a blot on the so-called Indian democracy.
Nayeem Ahmad Khan in a statement issued in Srinagar deplored that Kashmiris of all ages were being killed by the Indian men in uniform only because they were demanding their birthright to self-determination. He also condemned the continued siege of the historic Srinagar Jamia Masjid. He said that closing the worship place for 19th consecutive weeks was nothing but the implementation of the agenda of Hindu fascist forces in Kashmir.—KMS
