Peshawar—The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has ordered strict action against those responsible for placing debris of construction materials on the roads of provincial metropolis asking concern au-thorities for removal of such material immediately to ensure smooth movement of traffic in the city.
He issued these directives while presiding over a meeting convened to discuss problems faced by the residents of university town and Hayatabad Peshawar at CM House this morning. MPAs Yasin Khalil, Shaukat Yousafzai, Secretary Local Government, DC Peshawar, DG PDA and elected local government representatives attended the meeting. The meeting deliberated over commercial activities in university town, illegal construction, sanitation issues and up lift projects.
Similarly, encroachments, security and loadsheding issues were also discussed on the occasion. The Chief Minister ordered concerned au-thorities for identification of proper sites for establishment of educational sector and car cities at Hayatabat and university town.
The Chief Minister ordered constitution of a committee headed by Commissioner Peshawar, comprising MPA Town Nazim, DC and others to sort out workable solution for addressing issue of commercialisation of the university town.
