Delhi at war with Kashmiris
Srinagar—In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyet forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that the people of Kashmir have achieved moral victory against India despite the fact that they are passing through the most difficult times at the moment.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing a press conference at his Nageen residence in Srinagar, today, said that the Kashmiri people would continue their liberation struggle despite all odds. The authorities released Mirwaiz, yesterday, from detention and put him under house arrest at his residence. The Chairman of Hurriyet forum emphasized that he would continue the mission of his father Mirwaiz Maulvi Muhammad Farooq and his grandfather Mirwaiz Yousuf Shah, and would never submit to oppression. The resistance leader pointed out that India should withdraw its forces from Kashmir, revoke black laws like Armed Forces Special Powers Act and release all illegally detained political leaders and allow Kashmiri leadership from both sides of the territory to meet. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq announced that he along with his supporters would break curfew and restrictions on Friday and offer prayers at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar.
The illegally detained Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement in Srinagar said that India and its puppet administration had waged a war against the people of the territory. Muhammad Yasin Malik is undergoing treatment at Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in police custody.
APHC General Secretary Shabbir Ahmad Shah and senior APHC leader Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi in their statements said that the Kashmir dispute had devastating consequences for the people of Kashmir as well as the people of South Asia.
Normal life continued to remain affected on the 109th day, today, due to shutdown in the Valley. Heavy contingent of forces were deployed in strength at market places to prevent anti-India protests. Indian forces laid a siege to several villages of Islamabad district and launched house-to-house searches in Danter and Chidhama areas.—KMS
