In occupied Kashmir, former Jammu and Kashmir interlocutor, Radha Kumar has said the solution to the vexed dispute lies in picking up dialogue with all Kashmiri segments.
Radha Kumar in a statement in Srinagar said the dialogue was an all important constituent in the process as the problem had to be dealt and corrected historically which would lead to the settlement of pending issues and help create an environment of conviction and acceptability.
On bringing the Hurriyat leaders on board for talks, Radha Kumar said no element or voice in the Valley could be left out for seeking a permanent solution to the problem. “Pakistan as a constituent in the dialogue process cannot also be left out as the country includes the important stretch of partition which is characteristically attached to the solution of Kashmir.
She said, “Our findings were based on two important factors viz immediate assessing of the ground situation in the territory and short-term initiatives to reform the system and secondly, get an exhaustive insight into the long-standing political issue.”—KMS
