Karachi Kings annexed the Sindh Sports Board (SSB) Pakistan Day Women’s Softball festival title by defeating Karachi Dolphins by two runs.
The organizers said here on Saturday that the event was organized by the Sindh Softball Association (SSA) in collaboration with the SSB.
The Karachi Kings scored 16 runs in the five innings whereas the Karachi Dolphins could make 14 runs. The Director of SSA, Imran Zaman, was the chief guest on the occasion. He lauded the talent and performance of the Pakistani women players and said that they are second to none.
He called for providing them the required infrastructure as well as appropriate platform so that they could perform their abilities at the international level also.
Imran also praised the holding of such events and said that this helps in bringing to forth the new talent. He also appreciated the efforts of head coach Faraz Ejaz, Zulfiqar Ahmed, Kamran Munir and others.—APP
